Great to meet you!

I am so happy you are here!

Let me share a little bit about myself. I am a licensed counselor in both Illinois and Indiana, with seven years of experience providing talk therapy. I have had the privilege to work with clients across the lifespan in various settings, including community mental health, child welfare, education and integrated care environments. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, women’s issues, grief and loss, and relationship issues. In addition, I have experience addressing concerns surrounding life transitions, spirituality and intergenerational and complex trauma.

My approach to therapy

Authenticity and emotional safety are fundamental elements in my therapy practice. I am committed to creating an environment where clients feel empowered to be vulnerable and honest throughout the therapeutic process. By fostering a relationship built on emotional safety and genuineness, clients are better able to experience meaningful change, significant growth, and the emergence of new possibilities for their lives. My goal is to offer a space where clients are gently challenged, actively supported, and consistently encouraged to take steps toward improving their mental well-being. I walk alongside my clients as they rejoice, grieve, lament, and evolve, providing a stable and accepting environment in which they can explore their emotions authentically and in alignment with their true selves.

What you can expect from me

During our initial session, I will begin by asking you a series of questions designed to help me better understand who you are and what you hope to gain from the therapy process. I believe it is essential for my clients to feel well-informed at every stage of our journey. To that end, I will take the time to answer any questions you may have about what our work together will entail. After our initial session, we will use the information that was gathered during this session to develop a collaborative plan that will guide future sessions. Collaboration is a cornerstone of effective therapy and the commitment we both bring to each session directly influences the progress you make during our work together.
