Great to meet you!

Welcome! I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about how I may be helpful. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I have worked as a counselor for 12 years in a variety of settings. I studied at Springfield College and Rider University, earning graduate degrees in psychology and counseling, respectively.

As with any therapeutic relationship, my central focus is developing a sound and trusting relationship. For me, this is the foundation.

My approach to therapy

It is important that you feel genuinely accepted and empathically understood throughout the counseling process. Part of this approach takes into consideration an existential perspective that you are personally responsible for the choices you make and the meaning and purpose you create in your life.

I feel it is important to feel emotionally grounded and optimistic when generating thoughts, ideas and strategies for shaping your future. Ideally, this is intended to motivate you to take action.

What you can expect from me

While change can be challenging, I know the rewards that often await are well worth the time and effort. A strong commitment is needed to lead the life you deserve. Living your best life is like preparing for a marathon, not a sprint. With all of this being said, I know how much life can change for the better when you find the right support. I am invested in your future and I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.

With gratitude,

Jason
