Great to meet you!

I served my country in the United States Army as a chaplain's assistant in the Guard. I have a deep passion to work one-on-one with couples and individuals, as well as present lectures to large audiences. I has a certificate in Abusive Traumatic and Emotionally Destructive Marriages and Relationships (ATEM). I live with my wife of 18 years, and our two boys. I love to study the Bible and therapy curricula, as well as take care of my chickens and play disc golf and card games with my sons.

My approach to therapy

I use a lot of Family Systems and a specific relationship model. However, I also incorporate Narrative Therapy and Trauma-Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from me

The most important aspect of therapy for me is that you leave my office feeling safe and comfortable. My main goal is to provide an atmosphere of safety so that coming to therapy does not have to feel as awkward or stigmatized. Instead, I encourage my clients to treat the session as a retreat from the world, and a safe space to process and explore.
