Great to meet you!

My name is Jason Ricci, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have experience working with people struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, addiction issues, family issues, and more. I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy have worked with couples wanting to strengthen their marriages/relationships, heal from infidelity/betrayal, and when the relationship won't work out: healthy co-parenting.

A bit about my approach to therapy

There are a number of approaches to therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the "standard," which I use. However, some issues require more creative approaches, such as experiential. We will know when we start therapy the most beneficial approach.

What you can expect from our first session

While exploring issues from the past can help resolve issues in the present, it is important to not just dwell in the past. I take the approach of improving the present now, while also working to resolve the issue from the past that may be having a negative effect.
