Great to meet you!

I have a Master’s in Counseling and Human Growth and Development from Hardin Simmons University. As an LPC, I have extensive training in working with victims of complex trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and have experience working with clients of various cultural backgrounds. Prior to my work in counseling, I spent more than 25 years serving in non-denominational ministry, which gives me a unique perspective to help individuals heal from religious trauma.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. I specialize in trauma recovery and primarily utilize EMDR therapy, including advanced EMDR-based protocols such as PRECI, ASSYST, and IGTP-OTS, to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce symptoms, and move toward healing.

I work with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and the lasting effects of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other violent crimes. I also support athletes and high performers in developing mental resilience, confidence, focus, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

While EMDR is the foundation of my work, I integrate other evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), when they best support your needs. My goal is to help you build lasting skills, increase emotional well-being, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

When life feels overwhelming, it is important to realize trauma affects the lens with which we view the world. Sometimes we are well aware of what is holding us back from healing. At times we benefit from help with recognizing and addressing those obstacles. No matter where you are starting from, I can help you on your journey to improve your mental health and work through present and past trauma. Come as you are, and let’s work together to find a place of healing, health, and happiness.
