Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Javalyn Osborne, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for supporting individuals as they navigate life’s most challenging moments. With a strong foundation in both clinical and educational settings, I bring a compassionate and experienced approach to mental health care that focuses on promoting healing, growth, and long-term wellness.

My Background

My journey into the mental health field began with a deep desire to empower others through meaningful, empathetic support. I hold an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Counselor Education and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Professional Counseling, which have equipped me with both the theoretical knowledge and practical tools to guide clients through complex emotional and psychological experiences.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals and families in diverse roles, including as a school counselorand mental health therapist. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how mental health impacts every stage of life and have strengthened my commitment to creating safe, nonjudgmental spaces where clients feel heard and supported.

My Specializations

In my private practice, I specialize in working with individuals facing:

  • Grief & Loss
  • Trauma Recovery
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression & Mood Challenges

Whether you're processing a major life transition, navigating persistent emotional struggles, or seeking clarity and peace in the midst of difficulty, I am here to walk alongside you with care, competence, and encouragement.

My approach to therapy

I believe that healing is not linear, and each person’s path is unique. My approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices tailored to meet your individual needs. I focus on building a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where your voice, values, and goals guide our work together.

Mental wellness is more than the absence of illness—it’s the presence of resilience, self-awareness, and connection. My role is to help you cultivate those strengths and move toward the life you envision.

What you can expect from me

My practice is fully virtual, designed to offer a calm, understanding, and judgment-free space where you can feel emotionally safe. Whether you're joining from the comfort of home or a private space elsewhere, I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels grounded, peaceful, and focused on your well-being.

Goals for Our Work Together

In our sessions, the outcomes we work toward are tailored to your unique needs, but often include:

  • Reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression
  • Processing and integrating grief or trauma
  • Improving emotional regulation and resilience
  • Enhancing self-awareness and personal clarity
  • Strengthening coping skills for life’s challenges
  • Creating a greater sense of peace and self-compassion

We move at your pace—never rushed, always supported. My role is to walk with you, offering tools, insights, and encouragement as you reconnect with your strength and move toward the life you want to live.
