Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to figure everything out on your own. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself where you can be honest, ask difficult questions, and leave each session with something meaningful to carry forward. One of my core beliefs is that emotional well-being isn't about feeling happy all the time. It's about finding balance, developing resilience, and learning how to respond to life's ups and downs in healthier ways. Some of the most meaningful work I've done has been helping clients move from periods of significant emotional distress and high risk to greater stability, confidence, and hope. Watching clients rediscover their strengths and build fulfilling lives is one of the greatest privileges of my work. Above all, I want therapy to feel worthwhile. Every session should leave you with a new perspective, greater insight, practical skills, or a deeper understanding of yourself. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered not just during our time together, but long after you leave the office.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from trauma-informed care, EMDR, and other evidence-based techniques to meet your individual needs. Rather than following a single method, I believe therapy works best when it's tailored to the person sitting across from me. Together, we'll explore not only what's happening today, but also the experiences and patterns that have shaped how you think, feel, and relate to others.

Clients often tell me that talking with me feels like catching up with a trusted friend they haven't seen in a while. While our conversations are relaxed and genuine, they're also purposeful. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe discussing anything without fear of judgment, while gently challenging you to recognize patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and move toward lasting change. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults from all walks of life. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, school or college pressures, workplace concerns, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you better understand yourself while developing practical tools to navigate life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and experiences so I can better understand your unique story. There's no pressure to share everything at once we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of our session, you'll have a clearer understanding of how I work, and together we'll begin identifying goals and creating a path forward that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to your needs.
