Great to meet you!

I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology. My internships during my graduate education were at Avenue 360 and at The Harris Center for Menal Health and IDD. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas State University – San Marcos.

My approach to therapy

When providing psychotherapy, my approach to treatment is evidence-based in conjunction with the patient’s needs. I favor an eclectic therapeutic modality. The principle of “meeting the patient where they are” may guide my therapeutic approach towards Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing or other interventions.

However, I will always approach all of my patients with unconditional positive regard. My primary aim is to create a judgement-free experience.

What you can expect from me

Two of the main outcomes I want patients to take from therapy is the freedom and skill set to explore their emotions and inner world in a competent and healthy manner. I want patients to practice lessons learned in therapy in their daily lives. I will always push patients to identify positive outcomes or events occurring in their daily lives.
