Great to meet you!

I'm a no-nonsense, deeply human therapist who's been doing this work for approximately 20 years; and I still genuinely love it. I'll meet you with warmth, honesty, and the occasional dose of humor, because healing doesn't have to be heavy all the time. I specialize in working with women, teens, and parents, and I'm especially passionate about helping people untangle anxiety, anger, big transitions, and the patterns they didn't even realize they were carrying (i.e. perimenopause). You won't get a blank-faced nodding therapist with me - you'll get a real person who's in it with you. My whole approach is built on one idea: you're not broken, you're human, and you deserve support that actually fits your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and tailored to you - because no two people walk in with the same story or lived experience. I pull from somatic and polyvagal-informed work, which is a fancy way of saying we'll pay attention to what's happening in your body and nervous system, your emotions, not just your thoughts. With women, teens, and parents, I focus on anxiety, anger and rage work, life transitions, and the patterns and systems people often don't realize they've been shaped by. Sessions with me feel less like a lecture and more like a real conversation; warm, honest, sometimes funny, always judgment-free. My goal isn't to "fix" you (you're not broken), but to help you understand yourself, build real tools, and feel more like you again.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really just about getting to know each other; no pressure to spill your whole life story or have it all figured out. We'll talk about what brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. My biggest priority is that you walk away feeling genuinely heard and validated - like someone finally heard you. By the end, we'll start sketching out a loose game plan with some early goals, though that can absolutely shift as we go. Most of my clients leave their first session feeling lighter, hopeful, and even a little excited for what's next.
