Great to meet you!

You may know that something in your life or relationships is not working, even if you cannot fully explain why. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same painful patterns, feel disconnected from the person you want to be, or are carrying anxiety, grief, loneliness, or the strain of a major life transition. I’m a licensed psychologist who works with adults and couples seeking greater clarity, connection, and freedom in their lives. I especially enjoy working with men, LGBTQIA+ clients, couples, people navigating dating and relationship concerns, sexuality and identity, and consensual non-monogamy. My aim is not simply to help you feel better temporarily, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and live with greater authenticity, integrity, and wholeness.

My approach to therapy

I do not believe therapy should feel like speaking into a void. I am warm, engaged, curious, and direct, and I will actively participate in helping you understand what keeps you stuck. Together, we will look beneath the immediate problem and explore the patterns shaping how you think, feel, protect yourself, and relate to others. Many of these patterns once helped you manage difficult experiences but may now be contributing to anxiety, disconnection, conflict, or dissatisfaction. We will slow things down, notice these patterns as they happen, and turn insight into new choices. My work is psychodynamic, relational, attachment-based, and emotion-focused, while also incorporating practical strategies when you need concrete support.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to arrive with a polished explanation of what is wrong or a perfectly defined therapy goal. You can begin with the relationship that keeps hurting, the decision you cannot make, the anxiety you cannot quiet, or simply the feeling that you are no longer willing to keep living in the same way. In our first session, I will help you begin putting words to what you are experiencing and understanding why it may be happening. I will ask thoughtful questions about your current concerns, important relationships, personal history, and what you hope therapy will make possible. You can expect a collaborative conversation in which you feel listened to, taken seriously, and given an initial sense of how we might work together.
