Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Jay and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and emotional difficulties.

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, inclusive, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can be yourself, feel heard and respected, and openly explore the experiences that are affecting your emotional well-being.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related concerns
  • Autism Spectrum–related needs
  • LGBTQ+ concerns, identity, relationships, and life experiences

Through tTelehealth therapy my goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where we can identify your concerns, recognize your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I understand that every person brings a unique story, set of strengths, and life experiences into therapy. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being authentic and discussing concerns at their own pace.

I take an individualized approach to treatment, incorporating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, strengthen coping skills, build self-awareness, and develop practical strategies that can be applied to everyday life.

I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma-related concerns, Autism Spectrum–related needs, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I am particularly mindful of how identity, relationships, family dynamics, past experiences, and life transitions can affect emotional well-being.

My goal is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel empowered to make changes that align with your needs and goals. Therapy with me is a partnership—we will work together toward greater emotional wellness, resilience, confidence, and an improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a relaxed opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve. You are encouraged to share at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll begin identifying your strengths, needs, and goals while developing a personalized plan for therapy. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and comfortable moving forward.
