My name is Jaycie Perretta and I am a master's level music therapist (MT-BC) and licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT). I have worked in a variety of settings (schools, skilled nursing, in-home services, hospitals) and populations ranging from 5 to 80 years of age. My wide experience has allowed me to use multiple methods when working with clients and will help me create individualized plans when working with each person.
I am an eclectic therapist where I will assess as well as mutually collaborate with clients in the moment to determine what approach of therapy (humanistic, psychodynamic, trauma-focused) is going to be best suited to reach client goals. My experience as a music therapist also allows me to implement nonverbal strategies that can make breakthroughs in therapy that regular "talk therapy" can't always obtain.
I want clients to leave sessions feeling safe and supported. Being able to provide those two things will allow clients to dig deep and tackle what it is that is stopping them from obtaining certain goals.
