Great to meet you!

Life is hard, sometimes people need someone to listen when they are dealing with life transitions, loss, grief, family stress, job stress or relationship issues. People may benefit from talking to a mental health therapist. I am a mental health therapist and have worked with individuals, families and couples in the mental health field for nine years. I have worked in the social work field for over twenty years helping children, parents, and families be strong, resourceful and resilient in their communities.

Jaylene Taubert received her undergraduate degree from Winona State University and her master’s in social work from Illinois State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in the social work and mental health field for over twenty years. She is married with two adult children and enjoys travel, cooking, and time with family.

Jaylene Taubert MSW, LCSW works primarily via tele-health, but in-person sessions are available on limited days.

Couple’s therapy, addressing communication issues within the relationship, is available in-person only and by private pay only. Please contact Jaylene if you want more information on couple’s therapy.

My approach to therapy

First, I take time to listen to clients to better understand their experiences and understand what they want to address in therapy. I then use cognitive behavioral therapy approaches to help individuals understand and manage their anxiety, depression or other issues. I may also utilize tools or skills derived from other therapy approaches such as strength based, acceptance or solution focused, it depends on the individual client needs. Ultimately, I want to help individuals be resilient, find positivity and acceptance in their lives.

What you can expect from me

The first session will focus on listening to your reasons for reaching out for help. I want to hear you and understand you. I will answer questions you may have about my practice and questions about therapy sessions. I will also seek to better understand you by asking about your health history, family information, work and social history and other information as needed.
