Great to meet you!

You've probably spent years being the person everyone else leans on, and somewhere along the way, stopped noticing how much that costs you. I work with adults navigating the pressures that don't always have a name: the burnout that settles in when meaningful work starts feeling hollow, the quiet erosion of identity during major life transitions, and the particular weight women carry when they're expected to lead, achieve, and hold everything together at once. I have a deep interest in the experiences of educators, academic leaders, and college and graduate students managing intense professional demands, and I also work with adults facing anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, and questions of meaning. Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and willing to ask the questions that get to the heart of things.

My approach to therapy

Our work is relational and grounded, starting with what's happening for you right now while paying attention to the patterns that formed long before this moment. We look at the whole of you, your emotions, your history, your relationships, your identity, and the world you move through, because lasting change doesn't come from working on one piece in isolation. I'll gently name what I'm noticing, even when it's uncomfortable, because that kind of honesty is often where real movement begins. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than two decades in higher education as a faculty member, mentor, and program coordinator. That experience taught me a great deal about how institutions shape people, and it informs the way I understand the pressures my clients face. The people who tend to do well in this work are curious about themselves, willing to sit with uncertainty, and ready to look honestly at what has been getting in the way.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to begin getting to know one another. I'll ask about what brought you here, a bit of your history, and what you hope might shift, but you don't need to arrive with anything figured out. We'll start identifying one or two places to focus, knowing those will deepen and evolve as we go. My aim is for a space that feels warm and honest, where you can say what's actually true without worrying about how it lands. If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
