Great to meet you!

Every person’s journey to therapy is different, and so is the way I work with clients. I have extensive experience supporting people navigating depression, anxiety, early life experiences, self-esteem challenges, relationship struggles, and trauma. Whether your challenges are recent or have been present for years, we’ll approach them together with understanding, compassion, and respect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, supportive, and goal-oriented, focusing on helping you make meaningful progress while addressing the whole person. In sessions, we’ll identify challenges, develop strategies, and take actionable steps toward the changes you want to see in your life.

As an LCSW, I provide a balanced and understanding perspective while creating a space where you feel heard, accepted, and respected. Together, we’ll build on your personal strengths and develop new ways of thinking and coping to help you move forward with confidence and clarity. My guidance is honest, thoughtful, and centered on helping you grow.

The changes you hope to make in your life are possible. Our work together is grounded in a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, where collaboration and understanding guide the process.

What you can expect from me

I know starting therapy can feel like a big step. In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other, talk about what brings you here, and what you hope to get out of therapy. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can work collaboratively.

We’ll go over some important information together, such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, the limits of confidentiality, cancellation policy, and how communication outside of sessions works. This helps ensure that you have a clear understanding of how we’ll be working together.

I’ll ask questions about your personal history, current concerns, and what’s been happening in your life lately. This helps me get a full picture of your experiences and how we can best approach your goals.

Together, we’ll start identifying what you’d like to work on. You don’t need to have all the answers — we’ll explore this at your pace. This session is about building a foundation for our work.

At the end of our first session, I’ll share a bit about how I see our work moving forward and what approaches might be most helpful. We’ll also schedule our next session if you’d like to continue.
