Great to meet you!

My path towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker first began with my curiosity to understand people and the world while studying psychology in college. I minored in Sociology, which helped me gain an understanding of systems and how people of color and other vulnerable groups are impacted. This inspired me to pursue and obtain my Master of Social Work. I learned how to utilize individuals’ strengths and empower them to navigate and cope with the impact of these systems. As a biracial and neurodivergent therapist, I use my personal experiences and training to support and connect with folks from many diverse backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

I believe we all engage in behaviors to help us survive, especially in our world today. For that reason, I believe in taking a warm, nonjudgmental and collaborative approach to therapy. I truly believe that you are the expert of your experience and I am here to help support you in reaching your goals. I use a combination of evidence-based therapies, and my own lived experiences as a neurodivergent person, a parent and biracial Asian and Latinx provider to provide tools to make meaningful changes in your life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I hope to learn more about the main reasons that bring you to therapy and explore what you hope your life could look like with the support of therapy. I also aim to have you walk away from the first session with a game plan for the goals/strategies we will explore to move you closer to the life you want to live.
