Great to meet you!

I have been a committed wife, mother, and community service provider for more than two decades. I have been faithfully married to my spouse for over twenty years, and together, we have raised two children, now ages eighteen and twenty. I have also served in my community as a pastor's wife, a military spouse, and a chaplain's wife, guiding, counselling, and mentoring others along the way. Furthermore, I worked as an educator, providing a homeschool education to my children for ten years, prior to and concurrent with my work in the field of mental health.

Additionally, I am a dedicated therapist who is passionate about mental health and wellness and improved quality of life. I have been training in this field since 2018 and have worked with individuals and groups who have experienced or struggled with anxiety and trauma. I have also worked with adolescents and families seeking conflict resolution skills, anger-management skills, coping skills, crisis resolution skills to improve household relationships. I believe that individuals and families have innate abilities to do what they need to do to heal and improve their mental health, well being, and relationships. As a therapist, it is my joy and privilege to empower and help my clients move towards the goals they are seeking.

My approach to therapy

I will utilize a collaborative approach with you as the primary change agent of your lives as individuals and/or families. This means that we will build a safe, trusting, and therapeutic relationship whilst increasing your awareness and insights and expanding and developing new skills. We will work together to identify the presenting symptoms and problems, identify the main focus of treatment based on the presenting problems, and develop a treatment plan ideally suited for you. To accomplish this, I borrow from many therapeutic approaches so that the treatment plan can meet you where you are in your journey and take you where you need to go to address your individual and/or family needs.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel welcome, acknowledged, and validated; an environment where you can feel safe and heard during our time together. You can expect to increase your awareness and learn new insights into who you are and the challenges you are faced with, individually and/or as a family. Furthermore, you can expect to feel empowered as you develop, improve, and expand your skillset and ultimately begin to heal, improve relationships, and build and live the life want for yourself and/or as a family.
