Great to meet you!

Are you struggling to come to terms with all of life's changes that come with acute and chronic medical conditions? Do you have to rely on someone else, no longer have the independence you once had, have to change your diet, or have physical limitations? Are you now the caregiver of someone who is dealing with a medical condition and feeling overwhelmed? Coping with illness or trauma, whether it's yourself or a loved one, can be difficult and can lead to anxiety, stress, and depression.I also help parents struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. It's not just something you get over, or grow out of. I offer warm and nonjudgmental therapy so you can get the help you need to feel better and in control.

My priority is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and heard so you can be yourself & share what you’re going through. I know it’s important to trust your therapist so you can let your walls down and open up. Having a good fit with your therapist is important, and I’ll do everything I can to build rapport and provide you with an encouraging and nonjudgmental space where you can heal! Using a warm, caring, and encouraging approach, I give you the time and space to open up when you’re ready. I find one of the best ways to get to make someone feel comfortable is using a sense of humor when appropriate. I support individuals living with anxiety, depression, and complex medical conditions. I am here to help you navigate this difficult time and start your emotional recovery!

My approach to therapy

I know therapy makes you vulnerable and can be scary. I create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment so you can feel comfortable enough to open up to me. I take the time to listen to you and act as a guide so you can make healthy decisions, create attainable goals, and come up with the best solutions yourself. The point of therapy is to make you feel better, and together that's what we'll do.

What you can expect from me

I have extensive experience working with those who have been hospitalized and their loved ones. I understand all of the emotions that can come up from being in a hospital, especially if you've had a bad experience.
