Great to meet you!

My name is Jazmine. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). My passion is helping people take charge of their mental health and overall well-being. Life can be challenging, and whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, trauma, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I believe in a holistic, patient-centered approach to care—one that prioritizes your unique experiences, goals, and strengths. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take positive steps toward healing. Mental health care shouldn’t be intimidating or one-size-fits-all, so I work with you to find the best strategies and treatments tailored to your needs.

Building a strong, trusting partnership with my patients is at the heart of my practice. I know that small steps can lead to big transformations, and I’m committed to walking alongside you on your journey to better mental health.

I look forward to working with you and helping you build the tools and confidence to live a healthier, more balanced life!

My approach to therapy

A typical session with me is structured, supportive, and centered on your goals. We start by checking in on how you’ve been doing—your mood, sleep, stress level, and any changes since our last appointment. I want to understand what’s working, what’s not, and what feels most important for us to focus on that day.

From there, we explore your symptoms, experiences, and any challenges you’re facing. I’ll ask questions to help clarify patterns, triggers, and strengths. Depending on your needs, we may use evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, grounding exercises, or practical skill-building. If medication is part of your treatment plan, we’ll also review how it’s working and adjust as needed.

Sessions often include psychoeducation—helping you understand your symptoms and giving you tools you can use outside of therapy to manage anxiety, improve mood, or stay organized and focused.

Before we wrap up, we’ll summarize key points, discuss next steps, and set a small, realistic goal or skill to practice between sessions. My intention is for you to leave each appointment feeling supported, understood, and confident about your path forward.

What you can expect from me

When you work with me, you can expect a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free space where your experiences are genuinely heard and respected. My approach is personalized—I take time to understand your unique history, strengths, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits your needs.

I combine evidence-based strategies with practical, real-life tools that help you make meaningful progress outside of sessions. You’ll always know what we’re working on and why, and I encourage open communication so you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns.

My style is warm, patient, and direct when needed. I aim to help you feel safe, empowered, and understood as we work toward reducing symptoms, building skills, and improving your overall well-being. My goal is not just to manage challenges but to help you thrive with confidence in your daily life.
