Dr. Jean Chen is a licensed clinical social worker that has extensive experience treating various mental health issues and has worked with individuals and families in community mental health centers as well as inpatient psychiatric settings including NYU Langone and Southbeach Psychiatric Center.
Her practice centers on an integrative approach, with a primary focus on a client-centered humanistic theory, as well as mindfulness based cognitive techniques, to help clients achieve positive change in a supportive therapeutic environment.
Clients will be able to express themselves in a safe, non-judgmental space. Jean collaborates with her clients in order to establish goals that they want to work on over the course of their treatment. Her goal is to help guide clients in the direction they want to be in and help them recognize their strengths so that they can use them to help you grow emotionally as well as with managing whatever life throws at them.
