Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Jean-Claire, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles offering virtual therapy across California. I work with adults and young adults who are, by most measures, doing fine - but privately feel like they're running on fumes. If you're the person who holds it together at work, takes care of everyone else, and then wonders why you feel so drained, anxious, or flat when you finally stop - I get it. I spent years working in some of the most intense clinical settings in LA, where I learned how to stay grounded and genuinely present when things are hard. I bring that same steadiness into our work together. I also bring humor, honesty, and a real commitment to making therapy feel useful - not like homework. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I'm relational and practical. That means I care about what's actually happening in your life right now - not just the theory behind it. I draw from CBT and psychodynamic approaches, which in real terms means we'll pay attention to your patterns (the ones you can see and the ones you can't), build concrete tools for managing what's hard, and dig into the deeper stuff when you're ready. I'm warm and I'm direct. I'll tell you what I'm noticing, and I'll also make space for you to figure things out at your own pace. I'm not going to sit in silence and nod at you for 50 minutes. Therapy should feel like a real conversation with someone who's actually paying attention.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you here, what you're hoping to get out of this, and what's been going on in your life lately. I'll also be honest about whether I think I'm the right fit - and if I'm not, I'll help you find someone who is. The therapeutic relationship matters more than any technique, so it's important that working together feels right. You should leave our first session feeling heard and with a clear sense of what comes next.
