Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and hold a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT). I have extensive experience working with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, and life transitions. In addition to clinical practice, I serve in academic leadership and training roles, supporting the development of future clinicians and counseling professionals.

I am Brainspotting Certified and Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) trained, and I specialize in trauma-informed therapy that helps clients process unresolved experiences while building emotional stability and resilience. My work is grounded in a deep respect for each person’s story, culture, and lived experience.

I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, and I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and emotionally safe. Many of my clients describe me as steady, thoughtful, and direct in a supportive way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and integrative. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Brainspotting, Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness-informed interventions. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and pace.

I focus on helping clients develop emotional regulation skills, increase insight into patterns, and process experiences that continue to impact present-day functioning. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it is about strengthening your capacity to cope, relate, and live with greater clarity and self-compassion.

I value a balance of practical skill-building and deeper therapeutic work, and I strive to create a space where both can occur safely.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any current concerns or stressors. I will ask questions to better understand your history and what you hope to gain from therapy, while also making sure the pace feels comfortable for you.

You can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. We will begin identifying initial goals and exploring possible next steps together. Many clients leave the first session feeling clearer about their concerns and more hopeful about the path forward.

My priority is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported as we begin this work.
