Great to meet you!

I am Jean Hennon, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist multiple states committed to helping individuals, families, and couples reconnect in a safe, secure therapeutic environment. It is my goal of therapy to help clients change their lives through building rapport, understanding, listening, provide compassion in a nonjudgemental manner. My motto in helping others "it does not make any difference how many times a patient may try to change the impacts of their experiences that may have led to engaging in therapy "I have faith in their ability to succeed and will always provide endless encouragement to keep going as change is possible.

My approach to therapy

My models vary depending on the clinical problem presented. I utilize a systemic approach to treating couples and families focuses on understanding the relational system promoting a positive balance between connection and differentiation and increasing change in couple and family dynamics that maintain the family/couple relationships. CBT is commonly used helping patients understand how their thinking as it relates to negative learned behaviors and negative self-image helping the client change perceptions of self, positive behavior change, and problem solving. I believe in strength-based strategies.

What you can expect from me

First session is focused on gathering all relevant information that has led the patent to engage in therapy eliciting information regarding family, social, spirituality, past treatments, and successes etc. Initial treatment plan will be developed within collaboration with client identify goals and objectives for therapy that function as a road map for future sessions.
