Great to meet you!

Does POLITICS make you feel stressed? The American Psychological Association did a 2024 poll on stress. They found out that more than 7 in 10 Americans adults reported "the future of our nation (77%) as a significant source of stress in their lives.

Politics are personal and frequently enter the therapy room. Politics is a stressor that is complicated and multifaceted, because it can trigger such a wide variety of emotions, ranging from worry, sadness and despair to outrages, disgust, anger, frustration and more. It often involves conflicts with people in your life and damages social relationships. It can also affect your sleep and physical health.

Whether you are liberal or conservative or in-between, I can help.

I am a warm, down to earth person that can be a little humorous at times. I provide a relaxed, safe space for my clients. I graduated iwith a master’s degree specializing in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I have 23 years of experience working with diverse populations. I work with individuals, couples and families who are facing a wide range of personal challenges, emotional difficulties, relationship issues and life stressors.

My approach to therapy

Although I was trained as a family therapist within a family systems theoretical framework, my clinical approach is eclectic and integrative, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models to best meet the unique needs of each client.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll invite you to describe what you are experiencing and what you've already tried to solve the problem. Opening up and being vulnerable can be hard and I respect that. You'll always choose how much you want to share and we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Many clients have told me that they feel safe opening up to me and I'm honored by their trust. We will explore what you want from therapy and how we might get there. Some people come in unsure of their goals-they just know they feel stressed, unhappy or stuck. That's okay.
