Great to meet you!

Is this your first time considering therapy? Maybe you have outgrown your former therapist and need a fresh perspective? Maybe you are wondering if therapy even works for you. I am licensed in California and Texas, I am so glad you are here.

My approach to therapy

I am a trauma therapist with special interests in neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, religious trauma, and grief. I can help you heal past wounds and work through guilt, shame, and fear so you can overcome self-judgement and meet your authentic self with love and acceptance.

I pursued this vocation because therapy has been and continues to be so immensely helpful in my own life. I can relate to many of your struggles because I have experienced them myself. I commit to making space in my personal life to process my own issues, so you can trust that during our sessions I will be fully focused on you.

My communication style is positive and encouraging, identifying and building on the strengths you already have. Developing those strengths fully will equip you to identify next steps and move forward at a pace that works for you.

Heal old wounds. Learn new skills. Embrace your best life. Reach out today for a free consultation and let's get started.

What you can expect from me

During our first session we will talk about your primary reasons for pursuing therapy and decide together on a general plan for moving forward. I will want to know if you prefer a structured approach or more casual, and I will ask some specific questions about what that means for you. You will have an opportunity to ask me any questions you have, and we will make a plan for some sort of self-care for you to do that week. (This can be large or very small. If you need ideas I can help you.)

In future sessions we will keep that communication going, touching base to see what is working and whether we need to change direction or adjust the plan. At some point you may decide that you have gotten what you were looking for in therapy, or that you would like to continue for regular maintenance. You may even decide that you need a fresh perspective with someone new. We will handle that conversation in the same way: using honest communication to identify strengths and challenges and make a plan for what comes next.

What’s next for you right now? What can I do to support you? Make an appointment and let’s talk about it. I wish you well on your wellness journey.
