Great to meet you!

If you are feeling weighed down by stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or life's transitions, you don't have to carry it all alone. As a kind and honest therapist, I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors to help you put down those burdens and find a clear path forward. I believe that you are the true expert on your own life. My role is to listen deeply, collaborate with you on problem-solving, and provide practical techniques to help you manage stress and feel more confident in yourself. If you give me the privilege of walking alongside you, I will offer a safe, supportive space where you can be fully heard and begin to heal.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and grounded in unconditional positive regard, meaning you will always find a safe, non-judgmental space here. It will feel like having a conversation with someone who gets you. I integrate motivational interviewing techniques to gently challenge your perspectives, assumptions, and actions when appropriate, helping you uncover your own inner motivation for change. Drawing upon my clinical experience, we will collaborate closely to determine the best therapeutic methods tailored to your goals. For instance, we may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build psychological flexibility, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process past trauma, ensuring our work together is uniquely adapted to what you need. Whichever mode of therapy we select, we will maintain consistency within that chosen modality throughout our work together to ensure steady progress.

What you can expect from me

Whether we meet via video or in-person, in our first session, you can expect a welcoming, low-pressure environment designed to help you feel at ease. This initial session is used as intake where we can have a conversation by going over what brings you in and reviewing your background, but at a pace that feels comfortable for you—you are always in control of what and when you share. We will also discuss your goals for therapy and what you hope to get out of our work together. This initial meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other, see if we are a good fit, and map out a gentle plan moving forward so you leave feeling supported and hopeful.
