Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for helping clients during some of the most difficult times in their lives. I truly believe that addressing our mental health is as important as attending to our physical health. I have nearly 20 years of experience helping clients between the ages of 15 and 85. I am especially passionate about helping clients who are experiencing difficult life transitions such as adjusting to young adulthood from adolescence, college-to-career, navigating breakups or divorce, grief and loss, and post-career-to-retirement. I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and those with chronic health or medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer, gastrointestinal disease, chronic pain, and obesity related issues (i.e., weight loss, weight loss surgery recovery, body image).

My approach to therapy

I believe each client deserves an approach tailored to their unique background, history, and personality. Once we decide to work together, we will collaborate as partners in your therapeutic journey. As in any healthy relationship, open communication and respect are cornerstones to establishing an effective therapeutic relationship. Early in my career, I learned to value client feedback and so I encourage clients to let me know if something is not working or if they feel we have taken a wrong turn. Even though I have been doing this for a long time, I strive to continue to grow and become a better psychologist/therapist.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session where you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We will work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure and supported. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
