Jeanie Romero is a mental health professional practicing in NY since 2015. Jeanie is accepting new clients. Potential clients need have a video consultation prior to scheduling a session. I do not have Hospital Privileges. I do not prescribe medications. I do not work with any programs. My focus is on anxiety, depression, grief, life phases/transitions, career issues/changes, family conflicts, and relational issues/changes. I also understand and speak Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I provide talk therapy that is reflective, explorative with compassion. Treating every case uniquely and distinctively utilizing a dynamic approach to guide you to your goals at your own comfort, pace and autonomy. Treatment goals are a collaborative effort.

I work from a psychodynamic approach and use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), humanistic approach, attachment theory, Family/Marital Therapy that is holistic and person-centered to bring forth your unique strengths.

What you can expect from me

In my sessions, clients will feel safe, heard and not judged. They will also learn a little more about themselves, how they connect with the world, their relationships, their families and with others after each session.
