I have been working in the counseling field for a collective 9 years. I am certified in alcohol and drug counseling (CADC), a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. I am a certified shame-informed treatment specialist (CSTS) with an emphasis on eating disorders and body disorders, trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT). I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
I have worked in community mental health for a majority of my experience which entails experience with trauma informed practices, crisis, hospitalizations, suicidal/homicidal ideations, self harm, depression, anxiety, thought disorders, personality disorders and mood disorders. I work within the framework of reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused strategies.
