Great to meet you!

Jeanne Lively, LPC, is a warm, caring, and dedicated professional therapist who is passionate about helping people of all ages grow and make positive changes in their lives. She was raised in Enterprise, Alabama, which she proudly considers her hometown. Her father served in the military for twenty years, stationed at Fort Rucker before retiring, and her family settled in Enterprise. Jeanne actively participates in the Wiregrass community and is genuinely committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those she assists. Jeanne studied at Troy University, earning both a Bachelor's and a Master's in Psychology and Counseling. She also obtained an Associate's degree from Enterprise Community College.

Outside of work, Jeanne Lively truly values spending special moments with her husband, children, and beloved dogs. She enjoys spontaneous conversations, playing friendly yet competitive board games, and diving into creative arts and crafts that make everyone laugh and bring them closer together. She prioritizes self-care by enjoying tranquil moments, practicing mindfulness meditation, and engaging in activities that enhance her mental well-being. She finds happiness in simple pleasures, such as reading a good book while snuggling under a cozy, fluffy blanket, which helps her feel a sense of calmness, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Inspired by her daughter's wise advice, she strives for a simpler life, where even enjoying unbaked cookie dough can make everything feel just right.

My approach to therapy

Jeanne offers personalized therapy because every person is unique, and no single plan or set of tools works for everyone. She provides encouraging emotional support and practices active listening through reflective discussions. This helps her develop specific goals tailored to each individual and build a strong rapport, fostering trust in a world that can often feel uncertain, unfamiliar, and unstable. Her approach helps clients feel safe to open up and focus on growth and success in their lives.

Jeanne's experience spans both clinical and private practice settings, making her adaptable, impartial, and empathetic to the overlooked struggles of others. She values each individual's unique circumstances, drawing on her life experiences to deepen her understanding and support positive growth. Her career has enhanced her ability to recognize humanistic cues, build trust, and offer compassionate, unbiased support. She listens carefully, guides clients with tailored therapeutic methods that promote healing, and continuously expands her knowledge. She shares her experiences to inspire hope, strengthen connections, and provide empathetic support during therapy. Her approach makes therapy feel more easily accessible, even for hesitant clients. With 20 years of experience, she creates a warm, inviting environment.

What you can expect from me

Jeanne creates a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere that encourages warmth, familiarity, safety, and comfort. This friendly environment eases clients' nerves, making them more relaxed and open, leading to honest and trusting conversations from the start. Clients share key details that support positive growth therapy. Jeanne is always happy to discuss any questions or concerns about starting or continuing therapy, working together with a flexible document to help use tools aimed at reaching shared goals and the objectives set in the treatment plan.

During the intake process, Jeanne provides a relaxed, enthusiastic, honest, and non-judgmental experience. She often allows clients to share where their thoughts lead them, helping identify immediate concerns or needs rather than focusing solely on past perceptions when beginning therapy and completing paperwork. Jeanne also uses humor to lift the mood in the office, creating an atmosphere where clients feel as comfortable as talking with a friend. She believes that sharing genuine, personal, and relatable moments helps build deeper connections with her clients.
