Great to meet you!

What do you need right now to make things okay? Its likely that if you knew that answer, you would not be looking for help! Life feels so frustrating or hopeless sometimes; you want to feel good but just don’t know how. It is hard to know where to start. The truth is, you already have all the answers within yourself but those answers may be hiding, obscured by fears or depression. They might be buried deep within you, just waiting to be recognized and brought forth.

Sometimes the solutions are easier to find with someone who will help you sort through all the noise to find what is true and real. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, past trauma or grief, I can help you find the path that works for you --in order-- to move forward with your life. Together, we will sort through the messiness that is life to find those pieces that make sense.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative. I like to find out what it is you need and go from there. I know it is hard to figure that out - if you knew what you needed you would have done it already, right? Well, if you don't know, we will figure it out together. I am trained in DBT, EMDR and CBT. These approaches are powerful tools to help get you to where you would like to be.

Once we have our goals established, we will begin working on solutions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be just to get to know each other. We'll talk about you, where you are at and where you would like to be. I do ask a lot of questions in our first session, this is so I can understand you better. There are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers. Just be yourself, say as much or as little as feels right for you.
