Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jeannette Bostedt. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely understood while also having the opportunity to make meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. I won’t simply listen and send you on your way—I’ll work with you to understand what’s keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a diverse background in outpatient therapy, school-based services, residential treatment, case management, crisis intervention, and working with individuals and families. I am Level 3 certified in TEAM-CBT through the Feeling Good Institute and have additional training in trauma-focused CBT, ACT, DBT, and couples and family therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD/AuDHD, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, habits and addictions, and other concerns that can interfere with living the life they want.

My goal is not for you to need therapy forever. I want to help you understand yourself, overcome barriers to change, and develop skills you can continue using long after our work together ends.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems—I want us to understand what is keeping you stuck and work together on meaningful, practical change. I listen carefully, ask questions, and gently challenge unhelpful patterns when it can help you move forward.

I use TEAM-CBT as a foundation of my work, along with CBT, trauma-focused CBT, ACT, DBT, and communication-based approaches. I tailor treatment to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I also believe that understanding and respecting what makes change difficult is an important part of therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, with particular experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD/AuDHD, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, habits and addictions, and feeling stuck in patterns they want to change.

My goal is to help you develop a better understanding of yourself, build practical skills, and become more confident in handling challenges independently. Therapy should ultimately help you become your own therapist—not depend on therapy forever.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll complete the intake, discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have about the therapy process.

Even though the first session includes an intake, we can begin identifying the concerns you would most like to address and what you would like to be different in your life. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. We’ll start where you are and take it from there.
