I worked professionally for several years in the health & fitness field. This experience and God's grace drew me to a deeper calling to serve the mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of people.
My Master's degree in Counseling is from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. I first worked in community mental health and have since reached my goal of working in private practice, and have been helping people in this capacity since 2009.
My approach to counseling and psychotherapy is based on honesty, trust, empathy, genuine good will towards my clients, respect for each individual and his/her autonomy (self-determination), an authentic anthropology (understanding of the human person), and professional excellence. My goal is therapeutic effectiveness to bring about true healing, growth, and strengthening of the individual and/or relationship(s), leading to holistic health in mind, body, spirit, and relationships.
Clients can expect of me professionalism, honesty, respect, a desire to collaborate in their healing/growth, and a welcoming of questions and active client engagement in the process.
