Hi, my name is Jeffrey Donato. I was raised in Queens, NY, and developed a passion for psychology at a young age. I graduated with my BA from Marist College in 2013 and obtained a Master’s Degree from Hofstra University in 2015. I also hold a Certificate of Advanced Studies. I enjoy exercising, traveling, reading, and watching sports in my free time.
My goal is to collaborate with you and provide a safe environment for you to share, create worthwhile and achievable goals, and ultimately become the best version of yourself. Whether you want to find ways to cope with daily life stressors, are seeking a way to process traumatic experiences, or are seeking ways to recover from addiction, I will work hard to help you on your journey.
I have many years of experience working with people who struggled with substance use, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I practice from a psychodynamic perspective while integrating aspects of CBT and Motivational Interviewing methods. A typical session with me can range from exploring significant childhood moments and family patterns to talking about skills to integrate into your daily routine that can help manage stress and anxiety.
