Great to meet you!

With over 36 years in behavioral health, I've worked across inpatient, outpatient, corrections, education, and management settings — with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals navigating substance use and serious mental illness. But what drives me isn't my resume; it's this: mental illness is a bully, and no one deserves to be bullied. Nobody asked for it, and there is real courage in asking for help. I want to be a rock upon which mental illness breaks — helping people feel heard, seen, and able to enjoy life again. When I'm not working, you'll find me hiking, backpacking, or spending time with my dogs.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively and holistically, with warmth and humor woven in. I believe people are greater than the sum of their parts — so I want to know the whole person, not just the diagnosis. I've learned to meet people where they are, providing a safe and structured environment while staying curious about what brought someone to treatment and where they want to go. Identifying your goals and preferences isn't a formality to me — it's the foundation of good care. Together, we build a path that's yours.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about your history and what's bringing you in, but also what matters to you — your goals, your preferences, and your vision for your own life. Many of my clients come in feeling alone, dismissed, or worthless. I want you to leave that first session feeling something different: heard, respected, and hopeful. There's no judgment here — only compassion and a genuine commitment to helping you move forward.
