Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and major life transitions. I have experience across crisis, inpatient, and community settings, which means I’m comfortable helping clients manage both day-to-day stress and more acute or overwhelming situations. I take a practical, nonjudgmental approach to therapy—whether you’re trying to reduce substance use, cope with stress, or get through a difficult period, we’ll focus on building strategies that actually work in your real life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and nonjudgmental. I work with clients to better understand what’s driving their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also focusing on building concrete coping strategies that can be used in everyday life. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and strengths-based techniques, particularly when working with anxiety, depression, and substance use.

I take a flexible approach depending on your needs. Some clients are looking for structure and skill-building, while others need space to process and make sense of what they’re going through. With my background in crisis work, I’m also comfortable helping clients manage intense emotions and high-stress situations in a calm, grounded way. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more confident, and better equipped to handle challenges both in and outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about what you’ve been experiencing, any relevant background, and what you’re hoping to get out of treatment. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Part of my role is helping you make sense of things at your own pace.

We’ll also talk about your goals and what you’d like to be different in your life. If it feels helpful, we may begin identifying a few initial strategies you can start using right away. I aim to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, and we’ll move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of how I work and whether this feels like a good fit for you.
