Great to meet you!

I have been a psychologist for 44 years and worn many hats: schools, private practice, clinics and agencies. Experience counts for a lot! I am dedicated to my patients reducing their suffering.

My approach to therapy

Profound empathy sets the stage for my style, which is curious, direct, and kind. The needs of the person determine the type of intervention. I use many of the up-to-date, research-based interventions. My study of Buddhism and meditation -- he taught folks how to reduce their stress and suffering and find perspective and contentment! -- has heavily influenced my approach.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an intake in which I am getting to know you and you, me. Why are you coming to therapy? Why now? What do you want out of it? I am interested in your past, your relationships, your strengths and stumbling blocks. Every session is a creative act we form together.
