Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jeff. I'm a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP) practicing since 2017. Before focusing on psychiatry, I worked in addiction medicine and on the front lines of emergency healthcare as a paramedic and nurse.

I provide 100% virtual psychiatric care for adults (18 through geriatric) across New Jersey. My emergency background gives me a firsthand understanding of the toll high-stress roles take, and I have a special focus on caring for healthcare workers and first responders. I commonly partner with clients navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, burnout, sleep issues, and addiction (including medication-assisted recovery for opioid use).

Please note: As a telehealth-only provider in NJ, I cannot prescribe stimulants (e.g., Adderall, Vyvanse) and rarely prescribe benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Klonopin). I typically respond to all initial inquiries within 2 business days.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded, practical, and highly collaborative. My care centers on psychiatric medication management paired with supportive discussion in each visit. While I do not provide standalone talk therapy, I draw on evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) and motivational interviewing to support your goals.

I view mental health care as a true partnership: we take the time to evaluate what you’re experiencing, discuss your options in plain English, and tailor a plan that fits your life.

Initially, visits may be weekly or bi-weekly to carefully monitor your progress. Once you are stable, visits typically shift to every 90 days. Please note that active appointments are required for all medication refills. If deeper psychotherapy would be a helpful addition to your treatment, I will gladly coordinate care with an existing therapist or provide referrals.

What you can expect from me

Finding the right provider is important. If you would like a brief consultation before scheduling your initial appointment to ensure we are a good fit, please send me a portal message, and I will gladly arrange it for you.

During your initial comprehensive evaluation, we will review your medical history, psychiatric history, current challenges, and personal goals in a safe, confidential virtual space. We will discuss your treatment options together, explain how specific medications work, and outline how we will monitor your progress.

Please know that medication is not guaranteed, and a formal diagnosis is not always rushed on day one; it may take multiple visits to sort things out accurately. My priority is to listen carefully and establish a solid, safe foundation for your care.
