Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jeffrey Viens, LPC.

I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2011, with experience across community mental health, individual outpatient, and partial hospitalization (PHP) levels of care. This broad clinical foundation allows me to meet clients where they are—whether they’re navigating intense periods of crisis or looking to deepen long-term personal growth.

I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University in 2006 and completed my M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology at Rutgers University in 2008. To further specialize my clinical work, I later earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2023.

I specialize in helping adults work through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the unique stressors that come from military service or high-responsibility roles. As both a licensed professional counselor and a retired National Guard officer, I bring a grounded, empathetic, and structured approach to therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT and trauma-informed care. I believe therapy should be a supportive space where you’re both challenged and empowered—at your pace, in your own space, through telehealth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a therapy space that balances empathy with structure—where they feel truly heard, but also guided toward meaningful change. My goal is to help you gain practical tools to manage emotions, improve communication, and build healthier thought patterns. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of yourself, a greater sense of control over your challenges, and a plan that fits your unique goals.

Together, we’ll work toward lasting growth—not just symptom relief—so that you can feel more grounded, purposeful, and connected in your daily life.
