Jen Marine

I'm Jen Marine, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado with nearly 30 years of experience and an MSW from the University of Denver. I work with adults and teens navigating trauma, burnout, anxiety, grief, infertility, and major life transitions — and I have a particular passion for supporting first responders (law enforcement, child welfare workers, fire, EMS, dispatch), healthcare workers, and others whose jobs involve carrying other people's pain. I accept a broad range of insurance including TRICARE, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, and UnitedHealthcare. I offer evening and weekend appointments to fit shift-work and non-traditional schedules.

My style is warm, direct, and trauma-informed — with nearly three decades of clinical experience behind it. I'm not going to waste your time. I adapt my approach to what you actually need: trauma-focused work when the past is still showing up in the present, solution-focused and strength-based approaches when you need traction now, and compassion-focused work when the hardest critic in the room is you. I've worked with people at every stage of crisis and recovery. I know the difference between someone who needs to be heard and someone who needs a concrete next step — and I'll give you both.

Expect a direct, warm conversation — not a scripted intake interview. I'll ask what brought you in, what's been hardest, and what you want to be different. If you're a first responder or healthcare worker, you won't need to explain the culture you work in or why asking for help felt like a big deal. I already get it. By the end of the first session, you'll have a clearer sense of what we're working on and how we'll get there. Most clients leave feeling like something shifted — not because we solved everything, but because they finally talked to someone who understands.
