Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Jennifer Tinsley, PMHNP-BC, APRN, and the founder of Life Story Behavioral Health. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of mental health conditions.

My background includes working in outpatient settings, collaborating with primary care providers and therapists, and supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and life transitions. I am passionate about creating a space where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely understood.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should feel safe, collaborative, and empowering. Whether you are navigating stress, medication changes, family concerns, or long-standing emotional challenges, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and clinical expertise.

At Life Story Behavioral Health, we focus on turning the page toward healing — helping you build resilience, clarity, and confidence in your next chapter.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a welcoming space to begin sharing your story. We will take time to talk through what has been going on, what feels overwhelming or confusing, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your history, symptoms, strengths, and supports.

While I provide medication management when appropriate, our visits also include supportive psychotherapy. That means we won’t just focus on prescriptions — we will talk through stressors, relationships, thought patterns, and practical ways to help you feel steadier and more empowered in daily life.

My goal is for you to leave the first appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful. Together, we will create a clear and personalized plan that feels manageable and aligned with your goals.
