Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jen...

I'm a therapist, Navy veteran, and the owner of Wallace Counseling Company. I help adults and teens navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life's inevitable dumpster fires.

My approach is straightforward, compassionate, and occasionally sprinkled with humor because healing doesn't have to happen in a room that feels like a hostage negotiation. You can cry, laugh, vent, swear, sit in awkward silence, or tell me you're completely over everyone's nonsense. There's room for all of it.

I specialize in trauma treatment using EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but therapy isn't about checking boxes or memorizing coping skills. It's about helping you understand why you feel the way you do, healing what's been weighing you down, and building a life that actually feels manageable... maybe even enjoyable.

As a veteran, I have a special appreciation for military members, veterans, first responders, and the families who love them. I also work with anyone who's ready to stop merely surviving and start living with a little more confidence and a lot less self-criticism.

I won't pretend life is easy, and I won't expect you to have all the answers before you show up.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you walk through my door. That's literally what I'm here for.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in trauma-informed practices, reliant heavily on CBT and EMDR, and I frequently approach therapy using a holistic, solution-focused, and multi-modality approach.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to be genuine and forthcoming about the therapeutic process, establishing goals and planning for treatment. I strive to create a safe and inviting environment for clients to heal.
