Great to meet you!

Welcome- I'm a culturally informed and trauma oriented counselor dedicated to help individual to heal, grow, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

My journey into mental health work began during my years as a Child Protective Specialist in NYC, where I worked closely with children and adults navigating some of life's most painful and complex circumstances.

After receiving my graduate degree, I worked with non-profit organization supporting children and survivors of domestic violence. Today, I serve as a full time outpatient mental health therapist working with clients from diverse background who are seeking healing, clarity, and empowerment.

Each step of my career has been guiding me by a simple truth: that healing is possible when people feel truly seen, heard, understood, supported. My new chapter with Headway marks an exciting step forward- expanding my practice to offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy for those ready to begin or continue their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, grounded in empathy, respect, and belief that each individual has capacity for growth and healing. I strive to create a warm and collaborative environment where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

I draw from several evidence-based modalities to best meet your needs. My work is trauma-focused, helping clients process painful experiences safely and develop resilience. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) we identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. I also integrate a solution-oriented perspective, focusing on your strength and practical steps towards meaningful change.

Mindfulness and grounding techniques are incorporated to build awareness and emotional regulation, while psychodynamic approach deepen the understanding of how past experiences shape present patterns.

What you can expect from me

The fist session with me is an opportunity to begin building the foundation of trust, understanding, and collaboration. I know that starting therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain, so my goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning.

During our initial meeting, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy - your presenting concerns, how your challenges have been affecting your life, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. I'll invite you to share what has helped or not helped in the past, so we can tailor the approach to fit your unique experience and preferences.

We will also explore your areas of need and goals for therapy, whether that's reducing anxiety, improving relationship, coping with trauma, or developing a healthier pattern of thinking and behavior. Together, we'll begin to outline a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with what you would like to accomplish.

Most importantly, you can expect our sessions to be guided by empathy and respect - a space where your story is valued, and your pace is honored, and your healing journey truly begins.
