I am an LMFT with 7 years of experience. I have a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a BBA in Marketing. I am a trauma expert with experience in a wide variety of populations including LGBTQ, African-American, Latino, Indigenous, and Asian peoples. I also have experience working with domestic violence, the incarcerated, organized crime, and cults.
Therapy is kind of like a garden- there are so many things that make up a garden! There are some things that are doing well and we don't need to change anything. There are some things that might need some help and encouragement to grow. And there are some things that might be dead, that need to be uprooted. If this happens, we can uproot what no longer serves you so you can plant something new.
I aspire to be a warm, supportive, knowledgeable therapist who is provides a place to process past traumatic events while providing the coping skills you need to surpass what you've been through. I find clients usually leave my sessions with a better understanding of their trauma, hope for overcoming what holds them back, and confidence to enact what they've learned.
