Great to meet you!

I’m Jenae Heitkamp, LMFT, with over 20 years of experience helping clients work through burnout, anxiety, phobias, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism spectrum traits, and giftedness.

I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. My training includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, nervous system regulation, and ADHD-focused interventions.

My goal is to create a space where you feel understood and supported while also gaining practical tools you can use in daily life. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and more confident in facing life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach begins with calming and supporting the nervous system, because real change is easier when you feel grounded and safe. From there, we focus on practical strategies that help you manage anxiety, work through issues, and navigate life’s challenges with more clarity and confidence.

I combine warmth and collaboration with direct, actionable feedback. My work draws from nervous system regulation techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based tools. When working with neurodivergent clients, I adapt my approach to fit the way you think, process, and learn best, so therapy feels personalized and effective.

Whether we’re addressing a specific issue or building skills for long-term growth, my goal is for you to leave each session with a calmer mind, a clearer plan, and tools you can use in daily life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling calmer, clearer, and equipped with tools they can start using right away.

We focus on creating a steady, supportive environment where you can explore challenges without judgment, while also building practical strategies to help you manage anxiety, reduce stress, and face fears with more confidence.

You’ll learn ways to regulate your nervous system so you can think more clearly and respond intentionally, rather than feeling stuck in overwhelm. Over time, this work can help you feel more grounded, improve your relationships, and navigate life’s changes with greater ease and resilience.
