Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jenay Tally, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and create lives that feel authentic, meaningful, and fulfilling. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, judgment-free space where you feel seen, challenged with compassion, and empowered to grow.

My background spans both mental health and the creative industries, giving me a unique perspective on the pressures of identity, purpose, relationships, and navigating life transitions. I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and have extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges.

I have a special passion for working with Black and LGBTQ+ individuals, creatives, and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and purpose. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, healing from difficult experiences, or simply looking for a space to grow, we'll work together to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and help you move toward the life you want to create.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness while tailoring treatment to each person's unique experiences, values, and goals.

What you can expect from me

We'll spend time exploring what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. I'll also ask about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any experiences that may be important in understanding the bigger picture of your life.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, so we'll identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic to you. Rather than simply listening, I actively engage in our conversations by asking thoughtful questions, offering insights, and helping you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that builds on your strengths while supporting lasting growth.

My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we're headed together.
