Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, with a Master’s degree in Counseling—but more importantly, I’m someone who genuinely cares about walking alongside people through the hard and hopeful parts of life. Before becoming a counselor, I spent over 25 years in the business world, so I understand what it’s like to navigate stress, transition, and big changes. In 2020, I followed my calling into private practice, where I now specialize in supporting individuals facing trauma, life transitions, and substance use challenges.

I have a heart for working with rural communities, farmers, ranchers, veterans, and military families—communities that often give so much of themselves yet may not always feel comfortable reaching out for support.

Clients tell me I’m down-to-earth, compassionate, and practical. I’ll be real with you, and I’ll invite you to be real with me. When I’m not counseling, you’ll often find me outside enjoying nature, creating art, or playing a round of golf with my husband.

My approach to therapy

I believe counseling is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and compassion. My role is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your story, identify patterns, and discover new ways of approaching challenges. I integrate evidence-based practices with a personalized approach, drawing from trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and strengths-based perspectives. I view each client as the expert of their own life, and together we work toward growth, healing, and creating meaningful change that aligns with your values.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what brought you to counseling. I’ll ask about your goals, your history, and any immediate concerns you’d like to address. This time is also for you—you’ll have the chance to ask questions, share at your own pace, and get a sense of my style as a counselor. Together, we’ll begin to outline what our work may look like and set the foundation for a supportive, collaborative relationship.
