Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. My background includes working in community mental health, behavioral health hospitals, high school counseling, and adolescent substance use treatment, which has given me the opportunity to support people through many different stages and challenges in life.

I primarily work with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the everyday stressors that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so creating a space where you can show up as yourself, without judgment or pressure, is incredibly important to me. I bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into the therapy room, while also making sure our work together gives you practical tools you can actually use outside of sessions.

My approach to therapy

I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. My approach is integrative and individualized, meaning we’ll figure out what works best for you rather than trying to fit you into one specific type of therapy.

Depending on your needs, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Together, we’ll work on understanding the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, building practical coping skills, and learning new ways to respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I also believe therapy can be meaningful without feeling overly clinical or uncomfortable. You can expect me to be supportive and compassionate, but also active and engaged. I’ll meet you where you are, challenge you when it’s helpful, celebrate your progress, and help you build skills that translate into your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and helping me understand what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been going on, what you’d like to change, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, important experiences and relationships, and anything else that can help me understand the bigger picture.

You don’t need to come prepared with the “right” things to say or have everything figured out before you walk in. My goal is for the first session to feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. It’s also your opportunity to ask me questions and get a sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you.

By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying some goals and talk about what our work together could look like. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about what comes next.
