Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’ve been trying to manage everything on your own. I want you to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, identity, grief, and major life changes. I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and I focus on giving my clients practical skills they can actually use in everyday life. My goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and in control of where your life is headed.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen, understand what you’re experiencing, and help you figure out what needs to change. I take a direct, collaborative, and skills-focused approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, strength-based, and trauma-focused approaches. We’ll identify the patterns, thoughts, emotions, or behaviors that may be getting in your way and work on realistic strategies to address them. I don’t want therapy to simply be a place where you talk about what’s difficult. I want you to leave our sessions with a better understanding of yourself and tools you can use between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying what you want to be different. I’ll ask questions, listen to what you’ve been experiencing, and work with you to establish meaningful goals for our work together. You don’t need to know exactly what you need before we meet. We’ll figure that out together. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about the next steps we can take toward the changes you want to make.
