Great to meet you!

I've spent over 12 years working in some of the most demanding mental health settings — inpatient psychiatric units, public schools, community clinics, and substance use programs. What that experience taught me is that people are far more resilient than they believe, and that the right therapeutic relationship changes everything. I work with adults across New York via telehealth, and I specialize in anxiety and depression — not as labels, but as real

experiences that affect how you sleep, how you show up at work, and how you feel in your own skin. I accept Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon Behavioral Health, and I have availability on Wednesdays and Fridays — which works well for clients who want consistent support without reshuffling their week.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in the belief that the relationship between therapist and client is where change actually happens — not just the techniques. I draw primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, which means we'll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and work to shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck. But I hold those frameworks loosely. You're not a textbook case, and I'm not here to follow a rigid script. We move at your pace, and I check in regularly to make sure what we're doing is actually working for you.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation — not an interrogation. In our first session, I'll ask you about what's bringing you in right now, what's felt heavy lately, and what you're hoping therapy can help with. We'll talk through your history at whatever level feels comfortable, and together we'll start to sketch out what you actually want to get out of our time together. You don't need to have everything figured out before that first session. Many clients tell me they feel relieved just having somewhere to put it all down. That first hour is about building trust — and making sure I'm the right fit for you.
